چکیده
Classic non-homeostatic structures involved in food intake regulation are reciprocally influenced by metabolic signals. Orexigenic peptides expressed the olfactory bulb (OB) and hippocampus (HP) modulate processing memory, respectively. Hypothalamic circuits also feeding behavior activating releasing Agouti-related peptide (AgRP) response to orexigenic An adequate fasting requires expression of p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75NTR) AgRP neurons. The present study aimed determine whether there is a role for p75NTR OB HP on fasted rats. A group rats (FG) was confronted with decision-making paradigm T-maze containing standard chow pellet (CP), same coated phenolic-rich avocado paste extract (AVO) either end; their were then analyzed histological molecular tools. FG had briefer latencies, as compared control fed ad libitum (median latencies: 55.4 vs 191.7 min, p = 0.032). They reduced cell counts both brain structures, satiated mRNA not group, however, it found OB. These results suggest that contrasting states (fasted or satiated) motivate different responses, which structures.

Toluene alters p75NTR expression in the rat brainstem.
Toluene is a neurotoxic organic solvent widely used in industry. Acute toluene administration in rats induced a significant increase in the numbers of neural cells immunostained for p75NTR in several brainstem regions, such as the raphe magnus and the nucleus of the solitary tract, as well as in the lateral reticular, gigantocellular, vestibular and ventral cochlear nuclei, without any in the f...
متن کاملDrug transporter expression and localization in rat nasal respiratory and olfactory mucosa and olfactory bulb.
Uptake of drugs and other xenobiotics from the nasal cavity and into either the brain or systemic circulation can occur through several different mechanisms, including paracellular transport and movement along primary olfactory nerve axons, which extend from the nasal cavity to the olfactory bulb of the brain. The present study was conducted to expand knowledge on a third means of uptake, namel...

Runx3, a member of Runt-related transcription factor (Runx) proteins with tumor suppressor effect, is a tissue–restricted and cancer related transcription factor that regulate cell proliferation and growth, as well as differentiation. In the present study, exogenous Run3 was transiently expressed in AGS (human gastric adenocarcinoma), with undetectable Runx3 protein and in A549 (human lung carc...

متن کاملNeuron production in the hippocampus and olfactory bulb of the adult rat brain: addition or replacement?
In 1962, Altman 1 proposed that neurogenesis takes place in the cerebral cortex of adult rats. Between 1963 and 1969, Altman and coworkers found adult and juvenile neurogenesis to be especially prominent in the granule cell populations of both the hippocampus and olfactory bulb. 6 Kaplan and Hinds20 subsequently showed that these newly formed cells had the ultrastructural characteristics of neu...
